Sight & Sound Automation

Not every material on a custom project comes from a local supplier — sometimes the right door for a space comes from much further away.

When Local Isn’t the Right Fit

Certain projects call for a level of craftsmanship, finish, or mechanism that isn’t always available through standard local suppliers. Specialty doors sourced from Italy are a good example built with a level of detail and engineering that fits the kind of custom, high-end automation work they’re being integrated into.

Why It’s Worth the Extra Effort

Sourcing internationally adds real complexity — longer lead times, more coordination, more that can go wrong in transit. It would be easier to default to whatever’s locally available. But when a door like this is already part of the project, integrating it properly means matching that same standard throughout the automation build.

What This Means for a Project

When a detail like this is part of a build, it’s a sign of the overall standard the whole project is held to — not just in the automation itself, but in how every piece, however it was sourced, gets integrated into the finished space.
